1) Tell us about your book

I’m finishing up a book with the working title, Taurus:  A Hearse of a Different Color, which is part of the Witch Upon a Star series from Riverdale Avenue Books. Each book is based on a zodiac sign. There is a recurring character called Natasha who is in all of the books so far. Natasha also appears in a couple of short stories that I’ve written about magicians, namely “The Next Big Thing” which is in Ouija: Six Tales of Ouija Horror and “Looking for Mrs. Peepers” in Abandoned Anthology. There is another story that hasn’t been published yet that involves the magicians and the vampire witch.
Taurus: A Hearse of a Different Color is about the Taurus witch, Dorothy, who is learning to master her powers better as well as looking for an erotic encounter with TV star, Oscar Dominion. Natasha helps Dorothy learn how to master flying on a broomstick and more.
The Witch Upon a Star book where we meet Natasha and learn her secret is called Capricorn: Cursed (Riverdale Avenue Books).

2) What makes your vampires unique?

I’ve written several books and stories that have vampires. My first published novel, Eternal Sunset (Darktales, Crossroads), had a musician vampire, Demian, who was more of a victim of a blood disorder than a “changing into a bat, only comes out at night” vampire. He also appears in Borrowed Flesh (Leisure Books, Crossroads).
Natasha is intriguing to me because she’s a witch first and a vampire second. Natasha only comes out at night and has many of the familiar vampire tropes such as blood lust, being decades old yet looking like young lady in her thirties, pale and beautiful as well as some shape-shifting abilities. She tends to keep her thirst under control and is a role model for the coven though most of them don’t know she’s a vampire.

3) If you could have a vampire ability what would it be and why?

Eternal life so that I could do all the things I want to do and learn all the secrets of the universe.

4) Is your book standalone or part or a series?

My Witch Upon a Star series will eventually have 12 books and most, if not all, will include Natasha as she’s one of my favourite witches in my books.

5) What is next for you?

Once I deliver the Taurus book to my editor at Riverdale Avenue Books, I will finish up my space opera (which my patrons on Patreon have been waiting forever for me to do), and, also, finish another horror novel.
