Title: Spooky Sojourn

Publisher: Totally Bound

Genre: Contemporary Erotic male-female contemporary paranormal romance

Book Length: 50,000 words

Official Blurb:

Someone’s trying to kill Deanna, but is it the ghosts she doesn’t believe in, the rich socialite who might be a murderess, or someone else with a beef against The Gilroy Hotel and Resort that Deanna has just been hired to manage?  The Gilroy’s owners want the ghosts, or whoever is causing the trouble at the hotel eliminated, and they are pressuring Deanna to do the job as quickly as possible. Harry DeVeaux, paranormal investigator comes highly recommended to do the job and against Deanna’s better judgment, she hires him.

Although Deanna thinks Harry’s crazy for believing in ghosts and Harry thinks Deanna has a closed mind to the possibilities of ghosts and they highly annoy each other, sparks fly. Deanna can’t help but fantasize about Harry and inspired by a romance convention visiting her hotel, writes her fantasies in a private blog that Harry finds, hacks, and reads. Ooh la la!

Excerpt:

After a couple rounds about the area and unwilling to give up on her mission, she settled in with her computer. She couldn’t get Harry DeVeaux’s voice out of her mind. Not understanding her fixation, she wanted to purge him from her mind. She hadn’t had such a reaction to a man in ages, and never over just a voice. For Heaven’s sake, she hadn’t even seen the man. She had no idea how old he was, so  he could be eighty and he could be three feet tall and have a face full of moles.

However, she didn’t think so. His voice was too sensual, too sexy, even when he was clearly annoyed. Her sixth sense told her he was tall, dark handsome and around her age.

Cheering and laughter rose from a nearby banquet hall, and she remembered the romance writers. She wondered how hard would it be to write a romance? It must be fun to live vicariously through a heroine, to make up a sexy hero and fall in love with him. Could she do it? And what about the sex scenes?

Heat rose in her neck and bloomed into her cheeks. She was glad no one was around to see her. Unless the ghosts were watching…

She had to laugh aloud at her derision. Of course, the ghosts weren’t watching, because there weren’t any such thing. But she was going to stay the night to prove their nonexistence. Another evening, she would hide video cameras around in case there were shy real people pulling pranks and in case they had rigged the hotel’s video cameras.

Obsessed with the paranormal investigator, intrigued by the romance writers, she opened her computer. As if some force guided her fingers beyond her reckoning, she opened a free blog, made up the pseudonym Thomasina Deanngelo, and started writing her fantasy starring herself and Harry DeVeaux.
